For thousands of years of human history in the valleys of Utah Lake and Great Salt Lake, the Jordan River was a center of community and culture. It was the ribbon of life, providing food, water and sustenance. It was the “highway” for moving across the region, and a gathering spot for trading, sharing stories and news, and connecting with other Indigenous tribal communities.
