Update, Sept. 5 • A first edition copy of the Book of Mormon was sold Thursday night, with a winning bid of $240,000, the auction house Potter & Potter Auctions reported on its website. That’s double the low-end estimate appraisers were listing for the book, between $120,000 and $150,000.
